Ordering Yarn: There are several ways to enjoy the yarns from Maupston Design Studio.  Check out the new designs that are currently on my wheel, and take one of those.  Review the portfolio of older designs; if you see something you like, but wish it were just little different or in a new color-- ask.  Anna is happy to help you design your own artisanal yarn.  Finally, there is always a small stock of yarn that is spun and ready for immediate purchase. A 2 pound lot of yarn on commission or "on the wheel" will take about 6-8 weeks to create.Yardage is calculated from one average skein in each lot, it is an approximation. Part of the beauty of handspun yarn is that every skein is unique.    Yardage will vary skein to skein. Every design is unique. Especially with color I can come close to, but never exactly replicate, a design.

Price: The price of the yarn is a reflection of the time it took to create the yarn plus the cost of raw materials. Yarns that are more expensive either use extremely expensive materials, or take an unusually long time to spin. When ordering a new yarn, a 20% non-refundable deposit is required. The balance is settled upon completion of the lot of yarn. I will accept returns on unopened skeins with the tags still intact.
