Order one of these fresh designs or use them as inspiration to create your own fantasy yarn. On average it takes 6-8 weeks to complete a 2 pound lot. |
| PLUM SWIRL A gorgeous merino 3 ply in shades of plum, amethyst and white. The merino is almost as soft as cotton but so much warmer. The technique of "navajo 3 ply" is used to create variations in color that, as far as I know, are unavailable in commercially variegated yarn. SINGLE FLEECE: SIENNA BABY ALPACA Maupston Design Studio is beginning a line of artisanal yarns created from a single hand selected fleece. The first of these comes from the initial shearing of a spectacular baby alpaca named Sienna. Locks of meltingly soft fiber are held together with tussah silk. Look closely at the pictures, the dark coffee colored locks are bleached to a caramel color on the tips from when the alpaca was still in utero. Available: 2 - 2 1/4 pounds |

COSMIC MOHAIR
Uncombed Mohair locks in electric purples
and blues. Swirled around lime green wool.

GREEN COCOON A fine spun yarn in earthy grassy green with touches of gold here and there. Beautiful little coils and cocoons are created during the plying process. This wool has a raw reedy feel with a slight luster. A wonderful yarn! Available: 1 3/4 pounds |
